Heather Benway

Junior Specialist

During my time at Oberlin College, I conducted an honors research project working to determine the role dopamine and norepinephrine play in the mechanism of sex differences seen in drug-induced impulsivity. This work was conducted in rats through behavioral neuroscience in the Differential Reinforcement of Low Rates (DRL) task.

Now after completing my honors project, I'm happy to be a part of the Okada Lab to expand my knowledge of immunology, glioblastomas, and I'm excited to connect it back to my interests in Global Health.

Outside the lab, I enjoy playing soccer, working out, cooking, and art!
