Lan (Landon) Phung, MS
In my previous research experience, I had the privilege of working under the direct mentorship of Dr. Haiying Shen, MD, Ph.D., to explore the cellular and receptor-mediated effects of Glycine Transporter 1 on seizures, aiming to identify novel targets for epilepsy management and treatment. As a member of the Okada lab, I am excited about the opportunities to contribute to brain tumor research projects and make valuable advancements in this field.
Being a first-generation college student, I aspire to inspire and support others in their learning journeys, so I find joy in tutoring and mentoring high school students outside of lab work. My other interests include playing piano, hiking, and baking.
