Lydia Tam, MD
I am a Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology with a longstanding interest in basic, clinical, and translational research focused on pediatric brain tumors. Prior to joining the Okada Laboratory, my research centered on pediatric neuro-oncology, including diffuse midline glioma, medulloblastoma, and neurofibromatosis type 1, with projects spanning tumor biology, neuroimaging, and translational neuroscience. In the Okada Laboratory, my research focuses on developing next-generation CAR T-cell therapies for pediatric brain tumors. Looking ahead, I hope to develop and translate novel immunotherapies into early-phase clinical trials for children with high-grade brain tumors.
Outside of work, I enjoy trying new foods, non-strenuous hiking, wine tasting, and jazz.
