Safwaan Khan
I am a graduate student in the PSPG program at UCSF. As an undergraduate at UCLA, under the direction of Dr. Owen Witte, I worked to identify alternative-splicing derived antigens for the development of CAR-T and TCR immunotherapies. In my graduate studies, under the direction of Dr. Hideho Okada and Dr. Justin Eyquem, I hope to utilize cancer biology, neuroimmunology, and bioengineering to design and optimize immunotherapies for solid tumors, specifically in the context of brain cancer.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy spikeball, tennis, and hiking.
